Where your website is, how to use a domain of your own — one you have or a new one — and how to send receipts and confirmations from your own email domain.

What It Does

Every mosque website gets a free MAS address, such as al-noor.masjidappsuite.com, as soon as its workspace is created. The Domains & email section shows that address and lets you:

Use a domain you own — connect a domain you already have, such as alnoor.org.uk.
Buy a new domain — find a free name, see its live price, pay by card, and MAS registers it and sets it up.
Send email from your domain — donation receipts, booking and event emails come from your mosque's own domain instead of MAS's address.

Each of these opens as a short guided panel beside the page. Your free address keeps working whatever else you do.

Where to Find It

Open the dashboard, choose a mosque workspace, then open its Domains & email tab.

Who can use it: workspace owners and admins make changes. Other roles can see the addresses and their status.

Step by Step

Use a domain you own

Choose Use a domain you own.
Your domain — type it without https:// or www. (MAS tidies it if you do), then Continue. MAS saves it straight away.
Add the records — sign in to the company you bought the domain from, open its DNS settings, and add each record shown. Every name and value has a Copy button. If someone else looks after your domain, send them this page.
Check — choose Check now to see whether the records are working. New records can take a few hours to reach everyone; you can close the panel and come back, and MAS checks every day by itself. The domain shows Connected once it works.

Buy a new domain

Choose Buy a new domain.
Find a domain — type the name you would like, such as alnoormasjid.org.uk, and choose Continue. MAS checks that it is free and what it costs. If it is taken, try another name or ending.
Agree the price — you see the price for the first year and each year after. Choose whether it renews automatically (recommended, so your address never lapses), tick I agree to pay…, and choose Continue to payment.
Pay — enter your card details and choose Pay. You pay exactly the price you agreed.
MAS registers the domain — usually within a few minutes — and connects it to your website. Follow it under Domains you have bought; the list updates by itself.

Send email from your domain

Choose Send email from your domain.
Your domain — the part after the @ in your mosque's email addresses (if your website already has its own domain, it is filled in), and optionally Where replies go: an inbox someone at the mosque reads.
Add the records — add each record shown in your domain's DNS settings, using Copy.
Check — choose Check now. Until it shows Verified — sending from your domain, MAS keeps sending from its own address, so nothing is held up.

What Each Screen Shows

Where your website is: your website's address (a link once your website is live) and whether it is Live or Not live yet. Once your own domain is connected, it becomes the address shown here and in the rest of MAS, and the free address is mentioned beside it — it keeps working.
Your own domains: each domain you have connected or bought, with its status in words — Setting up, Waiting for your DNS records, Checking your records, Connected or Needs attention — when it was last checked, Check now, and its DNS records (shown while it still needs them, folded away once it is connected).
Domains you have bought (only once you have bought one): each purchase and where it is — Waiting to be registered, Registering now, Registered or Did not go through.
Email from your domain: each email domain, the address MAS sends as, its status and records, and Send email from your domain (or Add another email domain).

Tips

DNS changes can take time to appear. If a record is still pending, wait a while and Check now again. Each check spins on its own row, so you can check another domain at the same time.
Keep the reply-to inbox monitored — donors and visitors may reply to receipts and confirmations.
Buying a domain: the price shown is the registrar's live price. Check the name is spelt right before you agree — a registered domain cannot be swapped for another.

Troubleshooting

Problem	What to try
My domain stays at Waiting for your DNS records	Check each record matches exactly what is shown — copy and paste rather than typing. Allow a few hours, then Check now.
Email stays unverified	Check the SPF, DKIM and DMARC records match exactly what is shown. Your emails still go out from MAS's address meanwhile.
MAS can't reach the domain service just now	The domain service MAS uses is unavailable or not set up. Anything you saved is kept; try again later, and contact MAS support if it continues.
The name I want is not available	Try another ending (such as `.org.uk` or `.co.uk`) or a slightly different name.
A purchase says Did not go through	Keep the message shown and contact MAS support before trying again — we will sort out the payment with you.
I cannot see the buttons	Changing domains and email is for workspace owners and admins.
