What It Does

The workspace domain screen helps mosque workspace owners and admins prepare a public website launch on a MAS-managed subdomain or a custom domain. It also prepares branded sender domains for transactional emails such as receipts, booking confirmations, reminders, and contact replies.

Where to Find It

Open the dashboard, choose a mosque workspace, then use the Domains and sender email section.

Step by Step

  1. Review the MAS-managed subdomain already attached to the workspace.
  2. Enter a custom domain, then connect it.
  3. Add the displayed DNS records at the domain provider.
  4. Refresh the domain status after DNS records have propagated.
  5. Enter the email sending domain and optional reply-to address.
  6. Add the displayed email DNS records.
  7. Refresh the sender-domain status after DNS records have propagated.
  8. To buy a new domain through MAS, use the domain purchase planner to run a live Vercel availability and price check.
  9. Accept the current price, continue to payment, complete the Stripe card form, then queue the registration after the payment succeeds.
  10. Watch the Domain registration jobs list for queued, running, succeeded, or failed registrar work.

What Each Screen Shows

The workspace page shows website DNS records, sender DNS records, verification status, provider errors, last checked time, verified time, a domain purchase planner, the secure card payment panel, and recent domain registration jobs.

Owners and admins can connect domains, create sender records, refresh provider status, run the purchase planner, check live Vercel availability and price, accept the current price, pay by card, and queue paid registration work. Other workspace roles can view the records but cannot change them.

Domain purchase from inside MAS now uses a guarded paid job. The workspace planner can safely fetch Vercel availability and current price, Stripe Elements collects the card payment, and MAS queues registration only after Stripe confirms a matching succeeded payment. A protected worker processes those paid jobs and attaches successful registrations to MAS hosting.

The Domain registration jobs list shows the domain name, job state, queued/started/finished times, registrar order id when available, registrar result status, hosting attachment status, and any error message. The list refreshes automatically while a paid registration is queued or running, and the Refresh button updates the list on demand.

Tips

DNS changes can take time to appear. If a record is still pending, wait a short while and refresh the status again. A check takes a few seconds while MAS asks the provider what it now sees; the spinner appears on that row's own Refresh button, and the other rows stay usable, so you can start a second check without waiting for the first.

Keep the reply-to address monitored by mosque staff, because community replies may go there once branded emails are enabled.

Only accept a domain price if it matches what you expect. Availability and registrar prices can change, so run a fresh live check before paying.

Troubleshooting

If a custom domain stays pending, check the CNAME and TXT records exactly match the values shown in the workspace.

If sender email verification fails, check SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records exactly match the values shown in the workspace.

If the refresh action reports a provider configuration issue, MAS operator credentials for Vercel or Resend need to be configured before live verification can complete.

If payment succeeds but the domain is not immediately active, check the registration jobs list. The job may still be queued or running until the protected MAS worker processes the registrar order.

If a paid registration job fails, keep the displayed error message and contact MAS support before trying again.
